Peter has worked in safety/training related positions for more than decade within a wide variety of industries. These include offshore oil and gas, mining, state and local government, labour hire, health and community care, emergency services and manufacturing. Peter has also developed, delivered and assessed numerous Occupational Safety and Health related courses.

Peter started his career in Finance and Accounting where he first became interested in safety and health, taking on the roles of Safety and Health Representative and First Aid Officer. Later Peter became an Ambulance Paramedic with St John Ambulance, finishing as Training Officer in the Ambulance Officer Training Centre training new recruits and volunteers around the state.

Peter played competitive soccer in his younger days and participates in many sports on a social level. These days his main activities involve cycling when he thinks nothing of riding 100 km in a day! He is a cycle coach and in his spare time still plays golf, swims, kayaks and bush walks.
