Aurenda is committed to the community we operate within. We are a Founding Partner of the Red Sky Ride; support a number of community events; and promote health, sportsmanship and fitness amongst our younger generation through our sponsorship of a number of sporting teams.
One of the 21 cyclists to put their physical and mental endurance to the test in this year's Red Sky Ride was Aurenda's Business Manager, Michael Chester.
The very hot weather conditions this year made the going very tough. Michael found the camaraderie amongst the riders bolstered him through the physical and mental barriers along the 1,000 kms cycling journey.
These committed riders are to be congratulated for raising a staggering $327,724 and in doing so, surpassing the five year target of $1M in just four years!
Funds raised by the Red Sky Ride benefit SolarisCare Cancer Support Centres, which provide a range of complementary therapies to people with cancer, their families and their carers. During the 2011 event, the Red Sky Riders stopped in Harvey, Dunsborough, Augusta, Bridgetown, Wagin and York.
